Mihail Ivanov (Misho) is a Bulgarian bassist and composer. He's been active on the European jazz scene since 2007 when he joined the Bodurov Trio for their performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam.
The following year together with the “Blazin' Quartet” he won the Dutch Jazz Competition and was awarded with the “NORMA Best Soloist Prize 2008”. Over the years he's been involved in musical projects in Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Belgrade, Bucharest and his home town Sofia.
His versatile playing brought him collaborations with artist such as Malik Mezzadri (Magik Malik), Theodossii Spasov, Martin Lubenov, Anthony Donchev, Alexia Vassiliou, Itamar Borochov, Mario Forte, Lizz Wright, Michael Mossman, Hristo Yotsov, Rambo Amadeus.
Since 2018 he's based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
